On the 30th of May 2025, TECNALIA (Project coordinator) hosted the second country workshop of Seamless-PV, taking place in Spain (link to the first one in Italy). This was co-organized with the MASS-IPV project.
The event opened with a series of presentations from various key stakeholders in the BIPV sector, including photovoltaic manufacturers, building-integrated PV specialists, regulatory experts, and fire brigade representatives. Each speaker shared their practical experience, highlighting the main challenges encountered when integrating PV into buildings and the solutions adopted.
This was followed by a roundtable discussion with the same speakers, who compared their points of view and debated the different approaches to photovoltaic integration in architecture. After a coffee break, there was an opportunity to visit an exhibition space with real examples of BIPV products.
The day concluded with a guided tour of the host building, which incorporates BIPV. The tour was led by the architectural firm responsible for the design and the manufacturer of the installed panels, who provided first-hand insights into the integration process.
Onyx and Tecnalia participated in the presentations and roundtable discussions, and then Onyx and PIZ took part in the exhibition of samples. See below a collection of pictures and the event agenda.
